CHOOSING THE RIGHT FLOOR FOR YOUR HOME

While the floors in your house are important to the look, feel and performance of Your House, choosing the right flooring doesn't have to be an overwhelming process, so here are a Couple of Important questions to ask yourself before you start upgrading your home with brand new floors:

  • How much traffic do you expect the ground to get?
  • Do you have children? (for those who have older children, durability may not be that much of a problem )
  • Can you have pets?
  • Can the floors get easily wet or dirty?
  • How often will the floor need cleaning?
  • What is your design style? (If you don't understand, we can help!)
  • What's your budget? (Will you require old flooring disposed of? Do you need additional baseboards?)

Contemplating your way of life, functionality requirements, budget and design, will help direct you on the best options for your flooring requirements.

The Best Ways to Clean Hardwood Floors

-Prep your floor for cleaning by sweeping or dust-mopping to get rid of large particles of dirt and debris.
-Use a pH neutral cleaner that will be gentle on your hardwood floors.
-Use a fine spray mist to clean your floor in sections. Avoid putting too much liquid on your floors.
-Use a microfiber mop to clean. Traditional mops can work, but they can leave excess water on your floors.
-Skip using white vinegar and water to clean your floors. Using a specially formulated hardwood floor care cleaner is a smart way to maintain the beauty and look of your floors.
